Here at think fruitful, if you’ve been following along for even a short time, you may have noticed that I’m a big fan of fruit.
I mean, it’s even in the blog name.
Whether it’s a fresh North Carolina Pink Lady apple, a juicy summer watermelon or zesty blood orange, I think that fruit is an important part of enjoying food and life.
After all, “apple of my eye,” “fruit of life,” “if life gives you lemons,” there are so many fruit-forward phrases that make up our vernacular.
So, I’ve put a lot of thought into this and decided to start eating an all-fruit diet.
For the next 90 days, I will be munching on apples, oranges, avocado (technically a fruit), strawberries and absolutely nothing else. Well, nothing but water to go along these fruity concoctions.
The only salad I eat will be fruit salads. I’ll be trading in chips, bread
Goodbye, scurvy. Hello, citrus squeezer.
I’ll plan on spending my days peeling bananas and oranges, deseeding pomegranates and chunking up pineapples…because I’m guessing that it’s going to take a lot of fruit to keep me full most days.
If you’re starting to get concerned about this being a viable diet that will last, then I need to fill you in on a secret.
