Baked goods should be delicious.
Baked goods should be worth the calories.
Baked goods (at least scones) should be easy to make.
And baked goods should be for everyone.
That’s why I was so excited to find this fab recipe for Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Scones. It’s super easy and doesn’t even have sugar.
Honey with the chocolate chips gives you just enough sweetness, and I’m starting to love the flavor of almond flour.
It’s nutty and perfect in these little friendly scones bites.
Whether you’re gluten free or you have a friend or family member who doesn’t eat gluten, they’ll consider these a lovely treat.

- 1/4 tsp. sea salt
- 1/3 cup mini or regular chocolate chips
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tbs. honey
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350° F. In a large mixing bowl, mix the almond flour, baking soda and salt together.
-
In a small mixing bowl, mix the egg, vanilla and honey together. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients with a large spoon, then add in chocolate chips and mix with your hands to ensure the dough is uniform.

Form dough into a 1" thick disk, and cut into 8 same-size pieces, or you can just drop rounds on to a parchment- or Silpat-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned on the edges.
-
Cool for at least 5 minutes, then serve. Keep in an airtight glass container for a few days.
