Happy almost 2019!
What a year it’s been for me and I’m sure for you.
I celebrated 7 years of blogging here on think fruitful, and we cooked so many cakes, salads and soups together. We went on some amazing trips and even upped our grocery game together. (Groceries with Grace should be coming back soon, btw!)
I also started sending out a monthly-or-so email, so make sure you sign up for that to get some happiness in your inbox!
Although I shared 66 adventurous and accessible recipes, food, travel and life ideas, here were the 5 that you all visited the most:
1. 13 Things I’ve Learned Before 30
I’m glad that this post was so well received because I really enjoyed putting my non-food blogger hat on for a minute to write it. I turned 30 this year (about to turn 31 in a few weeks!), and it was the perfect time to reflect on life lessons that I hope can be of benefit to others.
2. Chocolate Brownie Cake
This brownie meets chocolate cake was one of the best things I made this year, so I’m glad y’all liked it, too. All the thanks goes to Molly Wizenberg, author of “A Homemade Life,” for this incredibly easy, rich and tasty recipe!
3. Rotisserie Chicken Gnocchi Soup
Although a few months ago, we had a bad experience with a rotisserie chicken from an unnamed grocery chain, this soup is bringing me back to love these weeknight meal savers. This soup is so full of flavor and health (I would like to think), all from rotisserie chicken, gnocchi, carrots and a wonderful broth that comes from all of it.
4. Buche de Noel
My husband and I won our little family bake-off with this delicious and simple-for-a-yule-log Buche de Noel. You can learn more about our family baking tradition, as well as get the recipe for a chocolate cake with almond whipped cream topped with lovely ganache. (Thanks to my very talented brother-in-law for the beautiful photos.)
5. Ingredient of the Month: Everything But the Bagel Seasoning
Oh my…this was one of my favorite Ingredients of the Month this year! I love using this flavorful spice mix from Trader Joe’s on avocado toast, eggs, rice, the list goes on. If you haven’t bought a jar for yourself, then be sure to grab some in 2019. There’s still time!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for my 2019 Food Resolutions post in a few days!
