What are your Fourth plans?
I’m going berry picking either on Tuesday or Wednesday early morning. It’s my annual tradition!
Then, my sister’s family is coming over for our first ever low country boil on Wednesday!
There are a lot of different ways to do a shrimp boil, or whatever you like to call it, but I think ours will include:
- Shrimp
- Beer
- New potatoes
- Corn
- Old Bay
- Possibly crab
It should be tasty, especially since now we’re the proud owners of a giant steel pot and outdoor gas cooker thanks to his new beer brewing hoppy.
Oh and we’re having Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie for dessert. My sister is bringing some cornbread and apps, too! I’m very excited about laying all of the food out on paper bags on the table and digging in, low country-style. Just trying to make North Carolina proud.
