Several of our local Mexican restaurants (Totopos & Gonza) have started serving chicken tinga, especially on my beloved nachos. It is smoky, juicy and tastes amazing on corn products like tostadas, tortillas and/or nachos.
Chipotle chilies in adobo are sure to be one of your favorite new ingredients. They are for me! Smoky but not too smoky and full of flavor!

Slow Cooker Chicken Tinga
Enjoy tacos, nachos or enchiladas with this crazy easy Slow Cooker Chicken Tinga recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. chicken breast
- 1 jar salsa (16 oz.)
- 4 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, chopped
Instructions

Place chicken breast in slow cooker. Add your favorite jarred salsa and chipotle chilies in adobo sauce.

Cook on low for 6 hours. Shred chicken and serve in crunchy or soft tacos, on tostadas or on nachos.
