I guess it’s a tradition now that I write a post with my updated podcasts every two years.
It’s actually really fun to look back and see what podcasts I loved in 2014 and 2016 and see which ones have stuck around.
There are so many podcasts out there for all types of hobbies and interests, and I find mine are mainly food-focused with a few etiquette, story, marketing and facility management (related to my day job) ones thrown in there.
If you’re looking for a few new ones to add to your rotation, check these food (and one story) podcasts out!
Spilled Milk
This podcast makes me happy and makes me giggle. Occasionally it is PG-13 rated, so be warned. The two hosts are knowledgeable food folks who take one ingredient or food or drink type per episode and really dive in. From Pop Tarts to Cold Brew, they are kind of like silly stand-up comedians about food…and I love it!
Gastropod
I’m so glad that my friend (thanks, Eudora) told me about this podcast! These two ladies are lovely hosts, and they’re serious about getting to the bottom of food and science quandaries. They’re like awesome food research journalists who whisk you away to historical times and other countries to get the full picture of a food-related subject.
Gravy
This podcast is a great one for Southerners (or really anyone) who is passionate about food stories. I find they have a lot of stories that stem from NC, SC and Virginia (my backyard) that keep me informed about food past and trends in the South.
The Moth
Another friend told me about this podcast (thanks, Allison), and I’ve been hooked for months! If you’re a fan of hearing people’s stories, then The Moth is for you. They host live storytelling events across the globe, so you get to hear heartfelt tales from people from all walks of life. Get ready to need a Kleenex a time or two!
I am still an avid listener of Awesome Etiquette, The Sporkful and Bon Appetit Foodcast, too.
