Hello, there!
From my blog survey, I heard that some of you may be interested in some more lifestyle/home posts on the blog, so here you go!
For today’s Fruitful Home post, we’re talking dining room chairs.
We’ve now officially been in our house for almost 1.5 years. That means that we’re getting settled and still adding pieces little by little. One of the most recent pieces was a beautiful custom dining room table that we’ve been dreaming about purchasing for years.
We are SO happy with our Emmor Works purchase. The wood is beautiful, the modern industrial touches are unique, and it feels great in our dining room. So, now we have to make the big decision of what chairs to pair with the table.
We would love to have 8 chairs, 3 on each side and 1 on each end.
Here’s what’s important about these chairs:
- Comfort– We want people to feel totally comfortable sitting at the table for hours, whether eating, drinking or playing board games.
- Easy to Clean– You’ll see that I’ve included a few different material options in my “lookbook” above, from leather to velvet and others. I’m very interested in leather and other options that can be cleaned easily, but I’m open to most materials.
- Budget-Friendly– Although we don’t have a set budget for these (which is why we won’t be buying them all at once), I would love to stay within the $100-300 price per chair. Some of these chairs come in pairs, which would be a bonus.
White Molded Evie Chairs from World Market
I love seeing these all around people’s homes. The price is good, they’re easy to clean and super modern. I’m not sure on the comfort option, so I think these are just a maybe for the outside 2 chairs on the ends of the table.
Rattan Flynn Hairpin Chairs from World Market
This is another similar modern chair possible for the ends of the table. Again- I would have to try them out to see how comfortable they are. I like the look, though.
Modified Wingback Leather Chair from Target
This is the only leather option that I included. I think it might go well with the dark, warm palette of our dining room.
Modern Anywhere Chair from Target
I really like the mid-century look of these and that they have grey and wood touches (which we have in our adjoining sitting room). But would they be easy to clean?
Velvet Joule Upholstered Chair from World Market
I know velvet might be a little out there, but I like the basic design of these, and they come in a variety of colors in case we want to spice things up.
What do ya’ll think? Any favorite chairs or dining room chairs that you have and love?
We are also not decided on if we’re getting the same 6 chairs or mixing and matching, so any idea goes at this point.
P.S. This post is not sponsored by World Market or Target. I just like to shop for home goods there.
