If you know me, you know that I love a good deal…and I LOVE the Whole Foods hot bar.
Whole Foods is a great place to get prepared food that is flavorful, fresh and healthy.
If you live in Raleigh, I’m about to introduce you to something amazing: Weekday Takeaway.
This is a deal that you can only get from the Wade Avenue Whole Foods, and it is going to change your world. Well…maybe.
When you sign up for the Weekday Takeaway, you’ll get to pick up a bag full of 5 healthy, hearty meals to eat throughout the week/weekend for just $50. In fact, I had leftovers of many of my meals. All you have to do is either warm them up in the microwave or oven and enjoy.
This meal plan is perfect for:
- Singles who don’t like cooking
- Singles who do like cooking but have a busy week
- Singles or couples who eat out more than a few times during the week
- Anyone who loves the Whole Foods hot bar
- Anyone who likes good and adventurous food
I can tell you that these meals were restaurant quality and expanded my palette for weekday meals. I mean, crab-stuffed mushrooms, cauliflower mash and so much more! There’s a different menu each week, and you can check them out before you order online.
Here’s what my week looked like:
Pasta Bolognese with Caesar Salad & Garlic Knot
This was the first meal I tried (I wanted to get the meat dishes out of the way first), and it was so filling and comforting. Perfectly cooked pasta with a hearty meat sauce, a tasty salad and bread.
Honey Chipotle Chicken with Cauliflower Mash & Spinach
I can’t believe how delicious they made this chicken taste. It was sweet and smokey. That cauliflower mash was incredibly smooth and flavorful with garlicky spinach.
Crab Stuffed Mushroom with Sauteed Asparagus
This was my first crab-stuffed mushroom, and it was a treat. The creamy crab mixture was on top of a tender portobello and tender asparagus. I was supposed to save the focaccia, but I ate it with this meal.
Creamy Mushroom & Wild Rice Soup with Herb Focaccia & Spinach Salad
This was surprisingly one of my favorite meals of the week: a hearty wild rice mushroom soup and a fresh salad. I really enjoyed the homemade salad dressings that came with the meal plan.
Hoop Cheddar Cheese Grits with Braised Greens
How could you not love cheese grits topped with tasty greens?
As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed my Weekday Takeaway…and I really think you would, too.
