Happy Monday everyone out there!
What better day than the first day of the week to get some fresh inspiration.
Guess what, guys. Just because I’m a food blogger doesn’t mean that I don’t get in a food rut now and again. Sometimes you just find yourself reaching for the same ingredients and preparing them the same way…and not really looking forward to it.
When that happens, it’s time to get inspired and find some fun new recipes!
Although I hope you can find some of those recipes here on the think fruitful blog, I wanted to share some other places that I get inspiration from. Now, I know that my bloglovin is always blowing up with new recipe ideas, and I bet a lot of you use Pinterest and other online sites. But today we’re going back to the books and looking at recipes and food stuff that we can hold, underline and tear out.
Here are some of my recent sources of food-spiration:
1. Real Simple Magazine
I think I pay about $20 for a year subscription to Real Simple, and it’s totally worth it for me. Whether I’m reading it on a plane ride or over the weekend, I love their simple recipes with a short ingredient list and inspired flavors.

2. Bon Appetit Magazine
I’ve been subscribing to Bon Appetit for a few years, and I get excited every time a new one comes to my mailbox. This magazine is all about food, hip food trends, and branching out with new ingredients and cooking techniques. I love how it stretches me to try new things, and the photography is so beautiful!
Bon Appetit Recipes: Perfect Fish Tacos, White Bean Bruschetta
3. The Kitchn Cookbook
I just got this amaaaazing cookbook for Christmas, and it is totally living up to the hype. I have been a big fan of the kitchn website for awhile, and this book has hundreds of new, adventurous and easy recipes. I have so many on my list to try and share with you guys!

4. Cook with Jamie
Even though my mom gave me this Jamie Oliver cookbook a couple years ago, I’m just now digging into it. And I’m a little stuck on just the veg section right now. I really like Jamie’s sophisticated yet approachable style, and there are a lot of great tips in here for overall how to cook meat, veg and desserts.
