Good morning and happy last day of this wonderful week of Blogsgiving.
What fun it’s been, right? I feel like I’ve been newly inspired to host, cook and entertain by the recipes and posts from other bloggers around the country. Have you? I hope so.
Today, I’m ending the celebration on a sweet note…because as far as I’m concerned it’s not Thanksgiving unless you finish with a slice of something sweet.
This Sweet Potato Pie from Joy the Baker takes a traditional recipe and (literally) spices it up with the classic cinnamon and nutmeg and surprise cardamom. She uses coriander in her original recipe, but I switched because cardamom was calling my name.
This pie is the perfect texture, smooth and creamy, with a depth and warmth of flavor from the sweetness and spices.
I suggest using my Easy Pie Crust or Sweet Pie Crust recipe for this one!
Enjoy, happy almost holidays and Happy Blogsgiving! I’ve loved sharing it with you.
About Blogsgiving
Thanksgiving is all about family, friends and delicious food. Luckily, the food blogging community is all about these things as well. To celebrate the holiday, Meghan from Cake ‘n’ Knife and Susannah from Feast + West are hosting Blogsgiving Dinner. There are 20 awesome blogs sharing 52 recipes
The idea is based on the old-fashioned progressive dinner party, in which you’d eat each course at a different guest’s home. Each blogger is bringing one or more dishes to the party on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of this week, so be sure to stop by each one and get some ideas for your own Thanksgiving meal.
Today’s bloggers have recipes for dessert and after-dinner drinks, as well as ideas for eating leftovers.
