It’s really hard to say no to brownies. Am I right?
They’re one of the most perfect desserts on the planet.
Personally, I grew up eating my mom’s fudgy brownies (made with a hint of coffee- thanks Ina Garten). Then when Jason and I started dating, we fell in love eating just-warm-from-the-oven box brownies with ice cream beside one another on the couch watching Planet Earth.
Brownies are all encompassing- crunchy on the edges, soft inside, deep chocolate flavor throughout, and sometimes they even have chocolate chips in them…or peanut butter swirled on top.
Oh, the options.
When I saw this Beer Brownie recipe from The Kitchy Kitchen Cookbook via Joy the Baker, I made sure I had all of the ingredients (and Jason had a stout in the fridge), and I made them that night. Brownies are serious business, ya’ll.
These brownies are really special- perfectly cakey, light in flavor and not too overwhelming with just a hint of coffee-bitter-chocolate flavor from the stout. You can use any stout you’d like for these!
Make these brownies. Share them. Spread the love!
