It’s about time for another quick, easy, no-recipe-card-needed Simple Saturday recipe.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this delicious baked Brie a few weekends ago.
My husband has been making this easy baked Brie for about a year, and it has totally upped our appetizer game.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to say no to puff pastry or crescent dough and jam around my Brie. BUT, to be honest, you really don’t need it.
This simple, herb oil baked Brie is everything you want: quick (15 minutes), creamy and still classy.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 wedge, baby or big wheel of Brie
- A few sprigs of thyme and/or rosemary
- A few tbs. olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and slivered
Here’s how you make it:
- If you have a Brie wheel, slice it into at least 4 quadrants. If it’s a wedge, keep as is.
- Place your cheese on an oven-safe plate or pan (we use a scalloped pie plate) and drizzle with olive oil, scatter the garlic slivers and throw whole herb sprigs on top.
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until it starts to melt.
- Remove, let cool a bit, then serve with bread, crackers and tart green apples.
