You know what’s great about the food world? There’s always something new to discover.
And usually that new thing is old to others.
It’s a never-ending cycle of new/old wonderful things to explore.
Galettes are something that I’ve seen food bloggers fill with fruit or savory foods dozens of times. It seemed so easy and good — just like a pie crust with delicious things in the middle.
And guess what — it is!
You make a simple crust, refrigerate, roll out, refrigerate, then load up with summer’s best blackberries and/or peaches) and bake.
Then, you can top it off with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
It’s like simple fruit pie that lets the fruit shine.
