Since moving to NC, I’ve really gotten on the pimento cheese train.
I would occasionally get on it before we moved, but now it’s everywhere and I love it!
With this in mind, I started making my own Pimento Cheese a few weeks ago (which is so easy), which led me to discover even more ways to use it.
By the way, I’ll be sharing that easy Pimento Cheese recipe on Monday, so please come back to get that!
Here are a few of the new ways that I’ve been loving this peppery, cheesy Southern concoction:
Pimento Cheese Hamburgers
Some of my fave hamburgers in the past have had the addition of pimento cheese, like the one at The Hive in Bentonville, AR.
A few tablespoons of pimento cheese is so amazing on a burger because it’s the perfect condiment- melty, cheesy, creamy, with some zing.
It’s sure to kick up your homemade burgers a notch!
Pimento Cheese Grits
If you’re working with one classic Southern ingredient, you might as well invite another one to the party, right?!
In this case, we’re talking about grits and pimento cheese. Pimento cheese grits are simple, just mix a few tablespoons of the stuff into your cooked grits, and serve. These are a lot like cheese grits with a lot more flavor action going on.
Trust me, you’ll love them!
A word to the wise, enjoy these Pimento Cheese ideas, but as the lady on that MadTV skit said, “Don’t get crazay!” I might have gotten a little “crazay”, ate way too much p. cheese and had a serious stomach ache.
Everything in moderation, friends.
(P.S. Don’t forget to come back Monday to get the stellar Pimento Cheese recipe!)
