Simple Saturday: Trail Mix

Snacks…they’re such an important part of my day.

Right now, I’m on my way to my first NC beach trip, and you better believe that I’ve got a whole lot of snacks going along with me.

A couple nights ago I went to Trader Joe’s to gather some snacks and came back with crackers, peanuts, crystallized ginger, corn chips, bottled root beer and more! I have a slight tendency to go snack crazy when I’m left to my own devices.

But the great thing is that snacks don’t have to be bad for you or expensive.

You can make your own amazing snacks, including this easy Trail Mix.

The other day, I needed a fun snack to take to work, so I threw together this Trail Mix.

All you have to do to make your own is combine equal parts nuts + chocolate + dried fruit.

For mine, I put together raw almonds, semi-sweet chocolate chips and orange flavored dried cranberries. You can make your mix as easy or complex as you want.
