So, we talked about strawberries on Monday…
…and we’re going to talk about them again today.
I hope you’re not berried out yet because I’m not.
I’ve still got a gallon bag full of them in the freezer, so I really hope you’ll be okay with me sprinkling strawberry recipes on the blog throughout the summer.
When I’ve got a great seasonal fruit or veg on my hands (or in my bucket, as it may be), I like to either eat it fresh as God intended or use it in a simple recipe that really highlights the best about its taste.
With a few of my NC berries, I destined them to become creamy, buttery scones. But I really wanted to make a baked good that had a little bit of intrigue, a little zest.
This one happened to have a little lime zest and lime juice to give that fresh, zippy taste of summer.
For a scone with a classic flavor enhanced by the best of summer, try these Strawberry Lime Scones.
